Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 4, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Best Hunting Time website and mobile application at https://besthuntingtime.com (the "Service"), which is operated by SunnyBuck LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Seller & Merchant of Record
The Service is provided by SunnyBuck LLC. Your subscription is sold and billed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, or Paddle's relevant contracting entity ("Paddle"). Paddle is the Merchant of Record and seller of record for all paid subscriptions. Paddle's name appears on your payment receipts, and Paddle handles billing, taxes, and refund processing on our behalf. Your use of the Service is also subject to Paddle's terms and policies applicable to the checkout and subscription.
3. Subscriptions, Billing & Free Trial
Best Hunting Time is offered as a paid subscription with a 7-day free trial. After the trial, your selected plan (monthly or annual) renews automatically until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from your account or via Paddle's customer portal; cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund the current paid period. Pricing and plan details are shown at checkout before you are charged.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and not to:
- Use the Service to harass, harm, or unlawfully take wildlife, or to violate any hunting law, season, bag limit, or regulation in your jurisdiction;
- Reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or redistribute predictions, forecasts, or data from the Service;
- Share, sell, or transfer your account credentials;
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems;
- Use the Service in any manner that could damage or impair the Service or interfere with any other user's access.
Best Hunting Time provides predictions to help you plan your time afield. Predictions are informational only and are not a guarantee of wildlife sighting, harvest, or success. You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and safety practices while hunting.
Account Sharing
Your subscription and account are intended for your personal, non-commercial use. You may use the Service on any device you personally own or control, but you may not share, sell, or transfer your account credentials to others. We currently rely on an honor system and do not enforce a strict device limit. If account sharing becomes significant, we reserve the right to limit concurrent sessions or suspend accounts that appear to be shared beyond a single household.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, software, predictions, algorithms, branding, and materials on the Service are owned by SunnyBuck LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial hunting planning. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service except as expressly permitted by these Terms.
6. User-Submitted Observations
You may submit observed deer movement data (locations, dates, times, counts). You retain ownership of your observations, but by submitting them you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that data to improve predictions for the locations you manage. Your observation data is private to your account.
7. Movement Alerts
Movement alerts are an optional convenience feature and are not guaranteed. Alerts are evaluated during the hunting season window of August 1 through January 31 each year. Within that window, an alert is sent only when the day rates Good, Prime or Best and at least two qualifying weather factors overlap (for example rain ending, rain beginning within four hours, a rapid barometric pressure swing, or a temperature drop of 10°F or more in 24 hours). Alerts are limited to one per saved location per 24 hours. Because alerts depend on third-party weather data and email delivery, we cannot guarantee that any particular alert will be generated or received, and you should not rely on alerts alone to plan a hunt.
8. Account Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct we believe harmful to the Service or other users. You may close your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately; paid fees for the current period are non-refundable except as provided in our Refund Policy.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Wildlife movement predictions are based on modeled factors and may be inaccurate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SunnyBuck LLC and Paddle shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or any loss of hunting opportunity, arising from your use of the Service.
10. Data Sources & Attribution
Best Hunting Time transforms publicly available data into proprietary forecasts. Weather data is provided by Open-Meteo, which aggregates forecasts from national weather services (including NOAA, DWD, and MeteoFrance). Location and geocoding data is provided by OpenStreetMap contributors, BigDataCloud, Zippopotam, and the US Census Bureau. Moon phase, rut timing, and movement scoring algorithms are proprietary to SunnyBuck LLC. We are grateful to these open-data providers for making services like ours possible.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Contact
For questions about these Terms or the Service, contact us at support@besthuntingtime.com. For billing or refund questions, Paddle support is available through your customer portal.
